Beacons and False Lights - footnote

1 - Thomas Robert Malthus, 1766-1834 who taught that the poor should be encouraged to die young as a means of population control by not improving living conditions. It has been argued that neo-Malthusianism has been deliberate Anglo-US policy since at least the nineteen seventies (see F William Engdahl A Century of War ISBN 3‑925725‑19‑9). Whatever the merits of that argument it is undeniable that the society in Indonesia and other non-industrialised countries are run along lines which closely fit the vision of Parson Malthus.
